University Of Texas To Review Telecom, Cable And Wireless Regulations

On Friday, May 28, the University Of Texas School Of Law will hold a Telecom, Cable and Wireless seminar at the AT&T Conference Center – Hotel at UT in Austin.

It will begin at 8:50 a.m. with opening remarks and adjourn at 5 p.m.

Among the topics and speakers are the following: Patrick R. Cowlishaw, Jackson Walker LLP, will give a 2010 telecom, cable, and wireless law update; Rick Cimerman, National Cable & Telecommunications Assn, and others will provide a federal update on legal issues involving VoIP, special access reform, IP interconnection, wireless, net neutrality, universal service and broadband stimulus projects.

Robin A. Casey, Casey, Gentz & Magness, L.L.P., will moderate the luncheon presentation, The Future (Demise?) of the PSTN, and in the afternoon, Stanley L. Kroder, University of Dallas, College of Business, will moderate a panel discussion of the latest and greatest services, technologies and gadgets and the regulatory policies that impact them.

A discussion about the latest ethical issues with William J. Chriss, of counsel, Gravely & Pearson, L.L.P., will end the day.
